Cosmetic Patient Coordinator
Dr. Vanourny is a dermatologist specializing in general medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology with interests in treating acne, psoriasis, skin cancers and photoaging.
She grew up in the north Chicago area and obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa and graduated with highest distinction. Dr. Vanourny subsequently obtained her medical degree at the University of Iowa where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and obtained the Outstanding Achievement in Dermatology Award. She completed her internship training at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa before returning to the University of Iowa to complete her specialty training in Dermatology.
Dr. Vanourny has been active in the dermatology community, giving several presentations at the biannual Iowa Dermatologic Society Meeting and was a case presenter at the American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting in 2012. She volunteers on a regular basis at local skin cancer screenings.
Dr. Vanourny joined Piedmont Plastic Surgery and Dermatology in 2012 and was very excited to leave the Iowa winters behind and move to be closer to her husband’s family, who has relocated to the Charlotte area. When not at work, she enjoys running, water-skiing and spending time with her husband, twin boys and dog.
