Jessica Curtis-Yount is a board-certified physician assistant who is a strong advocate for routine skin exams and the early detection of skin cancer. She has an interest in the treatment of acne, warts, eczema, psoriasis and other skin conditions in patients of all ages. She also strives to provide a natural appearance with cosmetic treatments such as Botox and Dysport.
Jessica graduated from South Caldwell High School with honors then went on to complete her undergraduate degree at Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry with honors in 2007. She then pursued a degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Jefferson College of Health Sciences (now Radford University) in Roanoke, VA. Prior to joining PPSD in 2011, she spent two years in primary care practice. Jessica is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), and the North Carolina Medical Society. She enjoys attending medical conferences regularly to stay current in the field dermatology.
Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with her husband and two children.
