Dr. Larry Napolitano specializes in treating all varieties of skin conditions. “I love Dermatology, and I love caring for my patients. There is nothing better than diagnosing and treating a skin cancer early. It gives me such comfort and gratification, knowing that I made an impact, and possibly, saved someone’s life. Besides the laughter of my children, there is no greater joy. That being said, I do enjoy identifying and treating all types of skin conditions. From the busy machinist with a new concerning spot, to the college freshman home from break who noticed a changing mole, to the hard-working stay-at-home mom who woke up with a new itchy rash, I am here for them all.”
Dr. Napolitano attended Medical School at the Cleveland Clinic-affiliated Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. After medical school, Dr. Napolitano completed his transitional internship in Ohio, where he was awarded Resident of the Year. “It was a true honor. Just having been considered for the award was more than enough for me. We had so many hard-working and intelligent residents that year, many of which I still call my friends.” After his time in Ohio, Dr. Napolitano went on to complete his Dermatology residency at the world-renowned University of Chicago, where he was named Chief Resident in his second year of residency.
Dr. Napolitano grew up in a small town in the corner of Wyoming. “I loved growing up in a town where people know and care for one another. It is one of the things that I found so impressive about Charlotte and its surrounding towns. People care for one another out here. I also love the fact that I will not have to shovel 15 feet of snow in the winters!”
Dr. Napolitano enjoys playing with his children, cooking, supporting local farmers markets, eating at local restaurants, keeping physically active, and anything that makes him laugh.
