Michael E. Sabol, MS, PA-C, was born in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Virginia at age 12. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science in 1997 from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. He earned a Master’s of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2001 from George Washington University.
After graduation, he began his career practicing dermatology in Fredericksburg, VA. In 2009, Michael joined The Polley Clinic of Dermatology and moved to Fayetteville, NC.
In November 2016, he joined Piedmont Plastic Surgery & Dermatology. Mr. Sabol specializes in medical and surgical dermatology, with a focus on detecting non-melanoma and melanoma skin cancer, psoriasis, eczema, and other skin diseases. He is an advocate for routine skin cancer screenings. Licensed in NC and board-certified by the NCCPA, he regularly attends dermatology conferences and seminars. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (NCAPA), and the North Carolina Medical Society. Michael lives in Hickory and enjoys spending time with his son, Carter. He enjoys fly-fishing, weightlifting, and spending time with family and friends.
