Scott Shepard, a board-certified physician assistant practicing in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, is honored to serve the Shelby community. Scott is a 26-year veteran of the joint special operations medical community.
Scott obtained his bachelor and master of science degrees in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine at the United States Air Force Physician Assistant program. He was recognized by his peers with the Alonzo A. Towner Outstanding Student Award and graduated as the Top Honors student. Scott received initial medical training as a special operations pararescueman, finishing his military medical career as a physician assistant assigned to flight surgeon duties in support of elite special warfare units.
PA Shepard has worked in the specialty of dermatology since 2013. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the state of North Carolina. He is experienced in all aspects of medical and surgical dermatology with a focus on the evaluation and treatment of skin cancer, acne, psoriasis and eczema. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, Special Operations Medical and Army Flight Surgeon Associations.
